Retrospective Approvals

Inspections designed to assist in retrospective approvals of unauthorised building works or unapproved structures.

Overview

Many homes have had additions and/or structures built without approval. e.g., patios, sheds, and carports to mention a few.

A retrospective approval is having the necessary approvals granted “retrospectively” or after they have been built.

This inspection is carried out by a Registered Builder, who understands the system and is experienced in having approvals granted fast.

This service is completed in two stages.

1) Home Integrity will carry out a full site investigation for structural adequacy and compliance with planning and building codes.

At the completion of this stage, you will receive a report highlighting potential non-compliant and remedial works (to be completed by others), and an itemised quote detailing council/shire fees and any consultants required to complete application.

2) Should you wish to proceed further with an application, Home Integrity will project manage the process, liaising with the local council/shire and engaging consultants as required.
